We would like to remind supporters of key safety information ahead of tomorrow’s game against Marine

Halton Borough Council and the DCBL Stadium would like to remind supporters of key safety information ahead of tomorrow’s game against Marine.

At the DCBL Stadium we take the safety and security of our visitors and staff with the highest level of importance.

As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that the DCBL Stadium remains a safe and enjoyable environment, Halton Borough Council would like to remind visitors of some key safety information for the games we host.

When attending the stadium please be aware that a number of security measures are in place to protect and reassure all of our visitors.

These include but are not limited to the following:

  • You may be approached by staff and spoken to both inside and outside the ground
  • As part of our search and entry process, all bags will be searched on entry to the stadium and person searches may take place at random.
  • Our safety stewards and staff are focused on the security and safety of the stadium and our visitors, please be courteous and allow staff to do their job quickly and efficiently.

Visitors to the DCBL Stadium are advised to:

  • Arrive early, allowing more time for security checks
  • Minimise what you carry, fewer bag searches will speed up entry to the ground, small personal bags are permitted and only one bag per person – please do not bring large bags such as rucksacks/briefcases etc. as these may be refused and we do not offer a storage facility
  • Be vigilant at all times and if you see anything suspicious, tell a safety steward right away
  • If you see anything that could pose an immediate threat to safety, call 999

In the unlikely event of an emergency listen to the Public Address instructions and follow them:

  • If told to evacuate, do so immediately
  • Do not place yourself in danger by filming events on your mobile
  • Move right away from the stadium as quickly as possible for your safety and to allow clear access for any emergency vehicles
  • Once you are safe, follow the local police force on social media for updates and information

There are a number of security measures that you can see and of course the ones that you can’t.

We monitor the whole site each and every day and all of our staff are trained to ensure that our visitors have a safe, secure and enjoyable experience. We work closely with Cheshire Police and Counter Terrorism Security Advisors.

Current threat level in the UK
The current national threat level from terrorism is severe. We urge all of our visitors to remain alert but not alarmed.

If you do see any suspicious activity, you should call the Anti-Terrorist Hotline on 0800 789 321 or in an emergency please call 999.
