Widnes Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Jordan Wynne.
The 24-year-old joins having left Bootle earlier this summer and will link up with his new teammates for the first time in tonight’s pre-season friendly at Ashton United.
A box-to-box player with an eye for goal, Jordan scored a last-minute equaliser for the Bucks against Widnes last season to send an FA Trophy tie to penalties that Bootle would go on to win.
He spent time with Everton, Liverpool and Wigan Athletic as a trainee before moving to AFC Fylde as a teenager.
Jordan then moved on to Prescot Cables where he became a popular fans’ favourite in a three-year-spell with the Pesky Bulls, twice lifting the Liverpool Senior Cup alongside now Whites teammates Lloyd Dean and James McCulloch.
He enjoyed a brief stint at Trafford early in the 2019-20 season before moving to Runcorn Linnets and then Hyde United.
“Jordan will bring an abundance of quality into our midfield area,” manager Dave Dempsey said.
“He is a player I’ve admired for a while and I’m delighted to be able to add him to the squad.
“I’m sure he’ll settle in quickly and be a big part of the team moving forward.”
Welcome to Widnes, Jordan!
