Widnes Football Club is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Alfie Mather has signed first team forms.
The 18-year-old has been training with Michael Ellison's team since pre-season and featured in friendlies against Ashton Town and Euxton Villa in July.
Alfie has now officially penned terms to join up with the first team and is eligible to be named in Saturday's squad to face Emley in the Emirates FA Cup.
The young shot-stopper was a member of the all-conquering Under-18s team that won the league and cup double last season.
The Club are so proud to see Alfie progress through the ranks as a junior to join up with the first team via our development pathway.
