Widnes Football Club is thrilled to have completed the re-signing of defender Jack Byrne!
The 23-year-old has finalised his return to the DCBL Stadium for a third spell and is eligible to face Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday.
Jack made 58 appearances across his first two spells with the club after initially signing on loan from AFC Fylde in January 2023.
He played an important part in ensuring that Widnes maintained their NPL West status that season before making the move permanent that summer.
Byrne was a virtual ever-present for the Whites last season, featuring 41 times and his performances earned attention from higher-level clubs.
He joined Lancaster City in July before moving to Hyde United in October, playing 20 games total for both clubs in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
Jack’s arrival strengthens manager Michael Ellison’s defensive options ahead of a pivotal period as the Whites look to cement their position at the top of the table.
Welcome back, Jack!
