Widnes Football Club is pleased to have agreed a deal to sign forward Renato de Oliveira Gomes.

The 18-year-old will arrive on dual registration from National League North side Southport subject to Northern Premier League and FA approval.

Renato made his first team debut for Southport earlier this season as a substitute at South Shields in October before spending one month on loan at City of Liverpool, appearing against Widnes on New Year’s Day.

He scored once in five appearances for the Purps before returning to Southport in January.
