Widnes go head-to-head with Prescot Cables tonight for a place in the final of the Liverpool Senior Cup.
The Whites travel to Volair Park in buoyant mood in a bid to reach the final of the competition for the first time in the Club's history.
Standing in their way, however, is a stern test against a Cables side going in search for a third successive triumph in the Liverpool County FA's premier club competition.
To reach the last four, Widnes have so far beaten City of Liverpool and a youthful Everton side, while Brian Richardson's Prescot side have dispatched St Helens Town, Bootle and Lower Breck.
The prize for the winners is a chance to meet Southport in the final, who booked their place with a 3-1 win at Rylands in the competition's other semi-final last Tuesday.
If the scoreline is level after 90 minutes, the two sides will contest a penalty shootout.
Team News
Widnes have no new injury concerns ahead of their trip to Cables.
Central defenders Joe Herbert and Phil Mooney are both cup-tied, while Danny Ventre continues his recovery from a dislocated elbow.
On-loan forward Finlay Sinclair-Smith is eligible for selection.
