Widnes FC are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Niall Watson on a one-month loan deal from Accrington Stanley.

The 18-year-old has made two Football League appearances for Stanley, and Niall was an unused substitute in last week's Emirates FA Cup win over Ipswich Town.

Watson has already spent time on loan at Runcorn Linnets and Colne earlier this season, and is available for selection for Saturday's home game against Colwyn Bay.

Having been spotted by Accrington scouts in Sunday League football, Niall joined the Reds in 2017 before signing a professional contract last summer.
